January 3, 2018 - Business Insider: A new law in Iceland makes it illegal to pay women less than men. the law came into effect on January 1, 2018. In Iceland, companies that employ more than 25 people will now have to obtain certification for demonstrating equal pay to women, or they will face fines. Iceland has been ranked the best in the world for gender pay equity for 9 years in a row.
